With the aim of maximum resource efficiency, the ETA model factory makes use of a synergetic thermal interface between the production process and the active building envelopes. Waste heat can be stored and then reused when required through the application of an integrative planning approach that directs the energy streams. Compared to a conventional production facility, this greatly increases energy efficiency and reduces CO2 emissions as well as resource consumption.
