Superwood
Sofia Souidi
Superwood is a new fibreboard material created for the furniture industry. It is made from recycled wood fibres that are mixed with a “historical” glue made from lactic acid before being pressed into boards. Traditional casein glue replaces the formaldehyde-based adhesives used in the production of conventional MDF boards. Superwood is characterised by delicately textured surfaces, a matt material aesthetic and outstanding solidity. Vegetable pigments are used for colouration.
