Too Good To Go is the app that rescues food from an undue fate. With the app, catering establishments can sell their over-produced foodstuffs at a discounted price to customers, who collect the food themselves. Restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and hotels are no longer forced to senselessly dispose of their perfectly edible food, customers get a delicious meal and discover new outlets in their local area, and above all, the entire approach conserves valuable resources! The overarching objective is to move towards a world in which the food that is produced is actually consumed.
Award winner 2017 in the category »Service«»Every day in Germany, huge quantities of food are prepared, only to be later thrown away. For little cost, this app enables users to collect left-over meals from their local area, shortly before the establishments close. Food waste is reduced and both sides benefit. For the jury, this idea was worthy of commendation.«
